Debbie, welcome from SW MN! Perhaps your grandmother wouldn't be as 'shocked' as you think...not with grannies getting into computers and the internet themselves! She'd probably have a blast!

My job was to thread the needles onto the spools of the quilting thread....my grandmother, great aunt and great uncle would set the frame up in grandma's living room, and when they were done with a thread they would stick the empty needles on the edges and I would grab the spool and thread the needle onto the spool...great memories....welcome and thanks for taking me back......
