Hi all I am new to sewing, I have had this sewing machine for a couple of years passed down from my family. It is a Fleetwood and the plate on the back says it is model #24. I know how to sew, as far as using a machine when it is all set up, but i am completely lost on how to thread this machine! I cannot find anything online about this particular machine so was hoping I could find some answers here so I can get started using it finally.
Thanks in advance, Amy

Might try here. I think I just added this to another post you had (smile).

A big welcome from East Texas. That is really a nice looking machine. Wish I could help you out but I don't have a clue. One of the experts will jump in soon and be able to tell you what you need to do. Good luck.

The machine is threaded correctly in the picture if the thread is hooked on the little spring in the tension disk. Are you having trouble with your stitches? Did you hear the bobbin click into place? You'll need to clean and oil the machine before sewing with it. It's not hard. That's a good looking machine. Got to love those steel machines. They were made to last.

Machines were made by a limited number of companies, then badged for private companies. Yours may be one of those. I have four vintage machines, though one doesn't know she qualifies. I'm not going to tell her.
