You're in good company. Welcome from northern Washington.
Lived in Va. Beach for a while. Love it there.

Sorry you have so many health problems. Welcome from the Sacramento area in Northern CA.

There are quite a few members with assorted ailments and everyone works at their own pace (it's not a race) and I bet you will get some ideas for easing the relearning process. I just found out that I have carpal tunnel. The therapist told me that I need to stop quilting if it makes my hands hurt. I laughed at her - she didn't like that.

WHere there's a will, there's a way and you have the will.

I know what you are going through, I have a nunber of back issues plus the Doctors had me on oxycontin for 13 years, just burned my brain out. I have been off for 6 years but the brain is slow to recall things I use to do without thinking. I gave up for a long time but now it's just one day at a time, if I have problems I come here and can usually find what I need. I am still having trouble with sewing my seams straight, so I measure after ever seam I sew. Takes a lot longer but in the end I am not so upset with the look of the blocks. Hang in there it will get better every day, as they say use it or lose it.

Maybe you could do a larger block and for added interest you could applique something on each block. Is it also hard for you to hand sew?
