I have a babylock espire and after lowering the feed dogs for a project, they won't raise up again. I took the face plate off and cleaned the lint but it is not responding to the re-set of the feed dogs. Any suggestions?

Hello and Welcome to the board :D:D:D
Try turning the machine off, let set for a few minutes and then turn it back on.

Is there a feed dog epidemic??????? I just took my singer confidence quilter to the shop because i tried everything i could and what the customer service rep told me to do and my feed dogs would not come up.......very frustrating to say the least, now i will be without my machine for about a week had to drive over 1 hr to go to a service center...

Hi Joyce and welcome to the board I'm Pam from Arkansas. I have a Janome sewing machine and this happened once to me. I had to start sewing a little to get it to come back up. I decided I would never lower mine again. Since I have been on the lookout for a good cheap machine to do my free motion with.

Hi and welcome to the board. This is what I was going to suggest also. On my Kenmore, the feed dogs don't pop up until I start to sew or at least press the pedal as if to sew.

Have you tried turning the handwheel to engage the feed dogs?
