New to it all
Good day everyone, I'm an ex-pat Brit living in Ireland, and I've very recently bought myself a new (to me) sewing machine, which has all the bells and whistles, including facilities for quilting. I've never done any quilting before, but I have a reputation for diving in at the deep end and trying something because it looks interesting - besides, having got the machine for it, how could I not give it a try? It'll either be a success or an unmitigated disaster - if the latter, I can undo it and try again, if the former, then I can be inspired to further deeds. Just now I'm gathering information before actually making something, so I shall be looking to you all for tips and encouragement. Thanks in advance for all your help.

Dive in and have a try. It is never a mistake just an opportunity to travel in another direction. The best advice I ever received is Simplify The Breif. break it down to smaller and smaller tasks and in no time it will be done. I have found this to be a good thing to remember when I get the "I'll never finish this" days.
You have found the right place. Welcome. |
