In addition to the Glass Thimble, the area also has Quilt Beginnings ( 2 locations), The Calico Cupboard, Quilt Trends and a quilt shop in Newark that I don't know the name of.

One LQS closed in Newark, but maybe there's a new one?
I like Calico Cupboard on Rt 16 in Pataskala & The Red Rooster in Dublin Very close to Jason's Deli.If you check out the quilt shop, be sure to have lunch at Jasons. Yummy!

Hi, and welcome from yet another Buckeye! Ditto on The Glass Thimble, those people are great, and it's a very nice shop. Lots of interesting little rooms and nooks and crannies to explore! And so helpful and friendly. I've gone in there with non-LQS fabric trying to match something, and they're just as helpful.

No it is appliqued. Took a long time and was my first attempt at applique. I got a little better with each block but I doubt I would ever do one so big again. Thank you for asking. Hope the winter is on the way to Spring for you now.
