Thanks for all the "welcomes"! I think I just had a brain freeze moment and didn't know what to type! LOL My name is Lisa, and I chose the "sewingforsanilty" name because that is how I am keeping my sanity. Grew up in OH, that is where most of my family lives, was living near Kalamazoo MI until 2 years ago when we got transfered out to Idaho. Haven't made any friends to hang out with, so I took a quilting class in January to start a hobby and hopefully meet some people. I am currently on my seventh quilt..cause let's face it, a girl can only clean the house so much before total boredom sets in! I have really enjoyed making quilts, so far all that I have made have been sent back to family members. I find it comforting for me..as I am making the quilt I find myself thinking about the recipient and makes me feel still connected. So, there is a better post than the first one! Happy Quilting all.

Lisa, sounds like you're off and running, with your new hobby! I'm a very slow quilter, as I keep getting side-tracked with smaller projects. However, I'm very, very good at fabric shopping! :D
