New to the board and sewing

I new to the board but reading some of the post. I don't do much quilting but I use alot of quilting fabric. So I join mainly for fabric advise. I just started sewing in November of this year, and I younger about the college age.
Looking forward to y'all advise

Howdy and welcome from Texas.
I've been sewing ever since I could sit to a machine and love it.
Took up quilting (something I thought I'd never do) last October. It's easy to get hooked! Fun, creative and soul satisfying for me. Hope you get as much inspiration as you need/want from this web-site. I sure do!

Welcome from Missouri - hope you keep all of your scraps that you have left over from your other sewing - what kind of sewing have you done?

Welcome from southern California. You don't have to be a great sewer to be a quilter. I am a hand quilter and do very little on a sewing machine. The only sewing a do on a machine is a straight stitch to sew my pieces and blocks together. I say that I am a quilter not a sewer.
