Hey, just found this board and already love it. I've just started quilting and have got three projects going at once. This is addicting. I've just been self taught thru books and online so I'm so excited to be able to talk to others who know what they're doing and not just go thru trial and error on everything. Looking forward to talking to everyone and learning.

Yes, I have three projects. I think i'm scared to finish them. I found this pattern I loved in a quilting book bought a while ago and wanted to try it out. Like I said, this is how I'm learning. The pattern was called Garden Path. So I cut all my pieces but I didn't have time to sew anything together. Finally got them together and I don't know if I messed it up and cut wrong or didn't read the directions right but when I sewed it together it ended up being a lap quilt. I was disappointed and didn't work on it anymore. A friend of mine convinced me to finish it and get the border material. Still haven't made the borders cause I'm not sure how big to make them and what would look good. Here's where I'm at. It's the Americana quilt.
I started a quilt for my niece who's due the end of February. I got the top finished but I wanted to try to machine quilt it myself since it's a baby quilt but I'm scared to mess it up. I was just gonna try to stitch-in-the-ditch, but we'll see. My last one is an old one I found while looking for purple material for my niece's quilt. I didn't like it but the lady at the LQS found some gorgeus border material for it and just made it pop, so that has to be quilted also. I'm not touching that one.
