My mother in law has owned a fabric store in our small towne for 30 years. She became severely ill and the store just about went under. We moved back in May and I have taken over the store but I know nothing about fabric or sewing. I am learning quickly and I have a love for it now but I am hoping by becoming part of this message board I will lean a few things. I have brought in a lot of new fabric and the community is very pleased with the fabric they have to choose from but I need to learn more about quilting so that I can help the new commers out there.

I'm so sorry to hear about your Mother in Law, that must be a very difficult way for you to discover fabric and quilting. Quilters love to drive to destination shops, where are you located? If you haven't already do you or did your MIL belong to any guilds? There are quilt guilds all over and they are a great way to learn about quilting and also spread the word about your store. ;) Good luck to you!
