Hi- where in Citrus? I 'm in Hernando! I have found serger can help if you have long pieces and you are going to wash the quilt a lot. otherwise, its less thread to waste if you just use a regular machine stitch. look forward to hearing from everyone about quilting!!

I am new to your site but not new to quilting. Been quilting for 35 years. Made lots of quilts, mostly to keep me busy and get out of doing chores. Haven't had time or $ for last few years to make anything new, but now a new job, new ideas, can't wait to start creating again.

is it in pieces? strips already? then wash by hand and set out to dry (press when done) If not, then just roll the edges and safety pin the hem to wash it. done that before
