Hello quilters! Just wanted to give a shout out to Jetnica for introducing me to the board. Just a thirty-something guy who likes to quilt when I have the time. I blame my grandma for my quilting bug, but hey there are worse things to be into, right? I live in the greater (NW) Orlando area. As far as quilting, I'm a straight line kinda guy. I am terrified of paper piecing and anything that I can't cut with my cutting ruler.

There are a few other guys here, and some of them put us to shame. Eddie makes amazing quilts and has only been quilting for about a year, and Billy (Lostn51) has been teaching us all how to deal with our vintage machines. Whatever level you are, or whatever you want to do, there is great support, tutorials and feedback here. Welcome!

LaurieE As a graduate of FSU, I appreciate your welcome up the the whole 'gator country' part. In good times and (most recently) bad, I'm a 'Nole through and through. Glad to be here though, and look forward to many great quilts to come!

This place is going to get me in trouble. I was perusing and read about tube sewing and of course had to ruse to the fabric store so I could try it out. I have started the most fantastic Trip Around The World! When I have more done, I'll take photos! Is this heaven? No...it's Iowa!
|
Welcome. You really should give paper piecing a try, it's a blast, just start out with an easy pattern.
