New to the Form

Hello, my name is Ilona Manion , I was introduced to this group by my friend Millie Mcafee. I have been quilting for about 5+ years. Although I had done a limited amount of quilting a number of years ago , but really got serious 5 years ago. I have been doing a lot of large quilts , but have started to broaden my interest to smaller peices. I really would like to learn to do free motion quilting. I would welcom in any and all advice you free motion quilters can give. Looking forward to chatting with fellow quilters in the future.

Hi Ilona, welcome from Lebanon Oregon!! There is a year long free motion quilting class going on with a new teacher once a month. If you go to my blog, scroll down on the left and you will see the "button" for the 2012 free motion quilting challenge!!! You can join any time, it is free, and it is a great way to learn free motion quilting. I am doing it, although I haven't got my February practice block done yet!!! I will do it this weekend!! Happy Quilting, Martha

Hi, and welcome to the board! I look forward to seeing your quilts and your posts here. I have been quilting for about 7 years, so not much longer than you.
