New to the form

Hello, I'm new to the form and new to quilting. Looks like lots of information here. Look forward reading posts and sharing with the group.

Do have a question today. I have a Bernina activa 230. Yesterday the thread started bunching up on the bobbin/bottom of the fabric. I took the bobbin out and put back ,but stilling doing it. Can anyone telling me what's wrong?

Hello S Ca. How do like this form? I'm a new quilter, having fun sewing, hoping to learn more. :-)

Welcome from SC Texas. Try taking out the bobbin case and cleaning it well and clean underneath where lint gathers, change the needle and start over. Sometimes lint under the case causes that or you hit something with the needle and damaged it. If that does not work it maybe the tension. Good luck finding the problem.

Welcome from Ontario, Canada. First clean your bobbin case area out and under the feed dogs. A fluffy or piece of thread can mess things up. Try a different bobbin to see if that helps. Try a different thread in the bobbin, some are smoother than others.
Lastly, try changing the tension on your bobbin case. Note the position of the slit of the tiny screw before moving it so you can return it to the original position if that is not the problem. Use the tiny screwdriver that came with your machine. The screw goes tighty righty or lefty loosey. It sounds like the thread tension may be a little tight?

Hi. Did anyone help you?
3 simple solutions. 1) the bobbin is in backwards, 2) the thread on the bobbin might have an issue (tension, knot...) put a fresh bobbin in can fix this, 3) the needle might need changing. There are other possible problems, but these are the easiest and most common.

One thing I forgot, check to see if the needle is is facing the right way and is threaded right.
