New to forum
Good Afternoon,
I'm new to this forum. I've been quilting/sewing for a very long time and I find that I'm needing some inspiration and challenges. I live in rural north central Arkansas and know some quilters but we all live so far apart and gas is so high that I'm looking for other forms of motivation. I prefer hand quilting but I do pay to have certain quilts machine quilted. I like applique but I'm VERY slow. I consider myself of intermediate ability when it comes to piecing. I've taken a few classes at Quilt shows but most of what I know I learned from books. I think the main reason I quilt is because I LOVE fabric and this is one way to use it but have it,too. Like having your cake and eating it,too. I have a large stash but never what I need to make a quilt, but I truly love every piece I have. The term "fabricholic" was coined for me. I'm looking forward to being inspired by the many members here and being motivated to get in high gear! |
Welcome to the board from Michigan. There is always some type of help, inspiration and motivation here on the board! I'm in awe of those that hand quilt. I just attempted my first hand quilting project (after lots of practice pieces) and have decided it just isn't my cup of tea!!!!!
