Welcome from Florida! If you have any problems posting pictures, go to the home page, then Pictures. Up on top of the list is a post from admin that shows step-by-step instructions. If your files are too big, there is a resizer at
resizr.com
that is easy to use.

watterstide 10-22-2009 02:27 PM

Well, just think of all the fabric you can buy, because you didn't waste your money!
it took my all of 2 hours includes the drive to AND go through the vendors..we heard that people complained, last year, that was not enough sewing vendors, and too many quilting vendors..can you imagine! the whole back section was empty...

Welcome to the site, what city in Michigan are you from.? I am from Michigan, moved to WV about 36 years ago. I moved here when I was 37 and love it, but Michigan will always be home. I guess it is just where you grow up. I learned to quilt here, sure am glad I moved here. I can always visit home, which was Melvindale.

watterstide 10-23-2009 08:43 AM

melvindale is a short drive from taylor..real close. I am medically retired from Great Lakes Steel..DH still works there. i grew up in Ecorse and Wyandotte...DH is from trenton..
I love it down south..i was born in michigan, but my heart is south. I detest the winters...

So many friendly people here! what a great place!

Hi, and welcome from OKlahoma.

carol 1 12-31-2009 02:17 PM

Yep I did go to the novi sewing expio I to was disapponited. It's wasn't as big. and a few of the vendors that I used to go to were not there. Not sure if I will go next year or not.

burnsk 12-31-2009 02:56 PM

A sewing guild I belong to had a 4-day sew-in in Shipshewana. I had to decide between the sew-in and the Expo. Sure glad I did NOT pick the Expo. I have heard so many were disappointed. I used to like Linda McPhee's booth (she's from Toronto I think) but she hasn't been there in a couple of years. Sandy Betzina (sp?) used to have a booth, too, but hasn't been in several years. Hancock and JoAnn used to have booths, too. Ahhh, for the good ole' days.

Jim's Gem 12-31-2009 04:36 PM
