Welcome, Thorhilder, from warm & sunny Florida! I had to googlemap Isafjordur~ what an amazing place. You may not have much winter sun, but surely you have amazing Northern Lights.

Do post some photos, so we can see what you've been making. Do you ever buy fabric from the Internet?

Welcome, my quilting friend from southwest Michigan. As many have said this site is so warm and friendly. My only challenge with the site is.....time. I never have enough time to make use of all the many resources available! :-D

Enjoy, make friends and quilt up a storm. No, no, no storms, just quilt to your hearts content!

Welcome from Florida. Google up Asta Dorsett - she is a fabulous long arm quilter from Iceland but now living in Okinawa. Asta used to live near me and I've had several quilts quilted by her.

Warm welcome from Georgia, USA. Remember to upcycle. Out of desperation, rising fabric prices, remoteness to fabric shops, uncertainty of what quality may be in that on-line purchase, etc., many quilters hit the thrift shops for useful cloth. Shirts are great. Bedding and some window treatments can be useful. Moths in a wool blazer? Use the lining. My earliest quilt blocks were from what we could salvage from the mule drawn wagon of the "rag man". The mix inspires creativity too. Glad to have you aboard.
