Where in Lafayette?

Thank you all for the welcome. I've checked out some of the pictures and they are all great. It seems I'm spending a lot of time here when I should be sewing. :-)

I live on the east side near the intersection of I65 and SR 25.
Where are you?

Quiltingharlet 08-14-2011 03:22 PM

I live just west of Union Street.

I live on the south side too, near Castaway Bay & Lafyette Bottled Gas. By the way there are 2 fanstic guilds here in Lafayette, IN & both meet this week, you can go to 2 meetings for free to see if you want to join. Old Tippecanoe Quilt guil meets this Tuesday @ 7:15 PM @ Morton Community Center in rm. 206 I think, it's our business & show & tell. You can bring show & tell too. Common Threads meets on Wednesday @ 7PM in the aditorium(brain drain spell checker not working lol) @ St .Elizabeth School of Nursing, but you would get there 1/2 hr early for
better seats & an 1/2 hr. social hour. Lots of fun & we will have a guest speaker on Wed.
Hope you from Lafayette, IN can come to the meetings lots of fun.

I have thought about joining both guilds. I actually have a friend in the Common Threads group. My problem is that I am working too much at Office Depot. It's supposed to be a part time job but after I retired, it turned into about 32 hours a week. I always seem to be working when the guilds meet. I don't want to join and only be a part time member. I also tried to join the embroidery club that meets at the mental health building in the afternoon. I think it's on Thursday. Carol Hopkins also has a group that meets at MCL once a month. Too many meetings - not enough time. I live out Eisenhower Road off 200 N.
