Love the whole process from start to finish. It's my happy place.

Welcome....but I think you should change your "name"...if you are referring to 77 as being old...........far from it. My dear friend just celebrated her 92nd birthday and my step-father is now 95 and both of them are doing better than I am! You're not old...mellow and mature maybe.

:-o :-P

Hi,
I am also new to this site.
And just like you, I love every aspect of quilting !!!
And the pleasure of finding a well stocked fabric shop!!!!!!
The trouble is everything else has taken a back seat now, I used to be a very keen cook ( have about 200 cookbooks on book shelves ) and a great reader, but all of this has taken second place now. I am a bad sleeper , and before I would come downstairs and read, now I come down and go and stich for an hour or so !
My house work is definately suffering aswell, I can't wait to finish it so I can start my quilting again, ( I do only hand piecing and hand quilting) which I find so relaxing.
It's lovely to hear that there are lots of us out there !!!!!!!!!

Welcome! And I've gotcha beat ..... I'm 82! You're in for a fun ride on this website. I've learned a lot and laughed a lot. But don't stay in hiding ..... it's fun to know where our friends are.

I'm not 77, it's just that the site wouldn't take what I usually use. I did change my profile but it isn't showing changed. I do better with the needle and thread than computer. I have a ten year old GD that can't understand why gramma can't figure it out on her own. It's easy for her.

Gertie, you are my kind of gal. Fabric stuff first, the rest maybe.
Welcome

Welcome from the central valley of CA,
from another 77 year old (as of next month)
quilter.
And handling fabric is an addiction, one that is
very much misunderstood by those who insist
on "I NEED just one more hammer/pliers/screwdriver."

Log on to Flylady.com, and she will help you do your house cleaning 15 minutes at a time. THEN you'll have far more time
for the important things like quilting. Works for me. (Except that
I still hate ironing, except for that fabric heading for quilts.)
