Hi everyone,
I have been quilting for 22 years and have turned to Art Quilting. Once I discovered it about 5 years ago I never looked back. I'm part of a small group of eight art quilters. We're constantly trying as many non-traditional techniques as we can. We have fun embellishing our quilts with all sorts of things. Our latest project is hand dyeing to try to get exactly the color we want. As I tell non-quilters what we do, usually people say, "You're a quilter. My granny used to make quilts." Try to explain our strange techniques to them and they just can't get their minds around what we do. But we DO have fun. |
