new member from Flagstaff, AZ
Hi, my name is Jill and I live in Flagstaff, AZ. I was an elementary school teacher for 35 years and retired about 3 years ago. I should be doing lots of quilting projects but I seem to be spinning my wheels. I've done some sewing for my 3 year old granddaughter but need to get going on my 20 plus quilt projects! Any ideas on getting my butt in gear would be appreciated! I am a fabriholic (just ask my husband!), but I am sure I have a lot of fellow members in that club! I joined to find out new things and to get help. I really would like to take a workshop or class from Freddy Moran, but I can't seem to find out about them until they have passed! If you know how I might contact her or get a schedule for 2014 or 2015, please let me know. Also if you have made her "Garden Party Ladies" quilt, I would like to have an idea on how to start, fabric supply list, etc. I guess the idea of not having cutting directions scares me a little.Look forward to hearing from you.

Howdy and welcome, from Texas!
As for getting your butt into gear, just start with the smallest, simplest project. Finishing a project usually motivates me to start something new. :) |

Welcome! I've enjoyed reading about Freddy Moran, but was unable to come up with any contact info. You might try contacting local quilt shops, as far away as you are willing to go, to see if they can't give you any suggestions. Good luck!

Thanks for the idea!

Welcome from Alaska! What has worked for me is making a list of all my projects and then breaking out what needs to be done. Then depending on my mood I look at the list and start on a piece. Gets me started and normally I get more done than planned. My other tip I learned on here (I think) is to finish two wip's in order to start a new one. That was like magic and got me moving.
