Greetings all, I just created this account for my 66 year old Mom, a quilter extraordinaire! She recently got her first computer and is just starting to learn about the internet.

She has been quilting since I was a sprout (I am 46) and currently quilts (finishes) one quilt a day by machine for a local fabric/quilt shop. In her spare time she handquilts and takes care of her dog and cats.

She also has blessed my family with several hand quilted designs the best of which is a double wedding ring given to my wife and I on our wedding day. Many of my friends have enjoyed the baby quilts they get whenever they have a kid. All made by mom...you can't beat that!

I am going to point her to this site soon so please say hi to my mom,
aka GMaSue.

Thanks!

Hi Gmasue, Welcome! This is my favorite quilting information site on the internet. So many really nice and helpful people. The information that I'm able to obtain from reading the posts and looking at everyone's projects is invaluable to me.
Sounds like you have a wealth of quilting experience and I look forward to hearing from you. Hopefully your family can help you to learn how to post pictures. We sure would enjoy seeing some of your quilts.

Gma Sue, glad you're going to join us! I can't tell you how much I love this board. Everyone will seem like an old friend in no time, and we have some real characters here (not naming any names, Terri!) Do learn how to post pictures--we'd love to see some of your work. When you first start out here you'll probably spend hours just looking through old posts--I suggest you start with the pictures, then branch out from there!

Welcome from hot and humid Missouri. You are just going to love your new computer. You can now find out about everything just type a word in your search box and see how many sites pop up. But we can save you some time because this is the best quilting site out there. Everyone is very talented and friendly. Once you get your feet a little wet have someone show you how to post pics. We love to see the amazing things that others are doing. If you have any questions just ask.
Welcome to our quilting family.

Let me also welcome you from "really warming up" Oklahoma. I am new to posting on this web site also and have made a mistake or two. Everyone is very nice here. It sounds like you can teach some us newer quilters a few things. Ditto on seeing some of your work.
