Hello,
I have been quilting off and on for many years, but have been very busy for a year since I stopped working. I have many quilt tops and just bought a quilter so I will be able to finish all those tops soon. My husband and I lived in CT for years and relocated to NC because we love the weather here. The people are nice too. Stephanie |
Stephanie,
Welcome to the Quilter's Board! You're gonna love your stay! LOL! Congratulations on your move. |

Also, what kind of quilter did you get????
|
Pfaff grand quilter with Next generation frame. My husband and I put the frame together and now I need to practice. We have lots of family coming in this weekend so I'm hoping to have some free time when they all go home. :)

You just may be the envy of most of us, here! LOL! Sounds like you've got a fun new toy to play with!
We've been to NC twice, to the beach. It was great! I think I'd move there. Did you move to the beach? |
We are in a small community of mostly retired people. We live on the water with is a harbor off the Neuse River. We are about 45 mins from the ocean so we have the best of everything. This area doesn't usually get the hurricanes but we have our boat in the back yard. We love it.

Welcome Stephanie -- how wonderful about your quilter! I dream of having a long arm machine one day... but for now it is only a dream! With 1 in college and 1 in high school and only 1 income (I am a SAHM) there is no room in the budget for such a luxury...for now!
We expect to see lots of pictures once those quilts are done! Barb C. |
Howdy there Stephanie! You definitely have the bug.....glad you joined us here. After practice, post some of your work....we all love to see what we are doing...and any adventures along the way. :D
|
Welcome. What part of NC are you in? I am in Raleigh, but would rather be in the mountains. Again Welcome Aboard.
|
Hello and welcome, How wonderful that you got to move to such a beautiful area and a new quilt machine, to boot!
|
We are in New Bern. We came here 3.5 yrs ago for a long weekend, just to look and ended up buying a piece of property and meeting with the builder sho owned the lot. We love it here. Just a perfect place. It's really growing.

Hello Kerstin and welcome to this forum and to New York! I live near West Point. Where are you located? I've been quilting for many years whenever I have "free" time. Quilt by hand but sometimes machine quilt "in the ditch".
We were all snowed in yesterday. It was a great block of time to spend in my sewing room!!!! -Pat |
Welcome to the board and welcome to the U.S.!
Nice block for just coming to the States! M |
