Welcome to the board, from Central Texas.

The world of quilting is so huge. The minute you think you really know alot a new method or technique comes along that sends you right back to your machine to try that, too. Love it...always a challenge.

I'm closer to Dallas/Ft Worth. Your friends in Borger have more interesting weather than we do

I love your avatar picture!! It's Beautiful! I have a UFO art picture almost done but haven't touched it in a while. A Susan Carlton book helped me with mine. It is done in raw applique. Designed to go into a picture frame! I recently purchased the Civil War Bride pattern. My passion is applique. We just moved to the east coast from San Antonio!

Thanks. Susan Carlson was at Quilting Adventures the week before I went this year and my friend was in her class. She produced a wonderful portrait of her dog. Too bad you're not close to SA anymore. Quilting Adventures is held just west of New Braunfels.

I didn't go to Susan's class while I was there but learned her technique from a friend in San Antonio that toke her class. I loved San Antonio but the east coast is where our family is. We retired here. Not much for quilting here :0(. Quilt shops are scarce, not even a Joann's or Hobby Lobby :0(. It is still my joy though. Order a lot off the Internet.
