Hi everyone! I'm a new quilter (and a new sewer). I live in a suburb of NYC.

I started sewing last September and I really love it. It's so different from when I took home ec in high school about a hundred years ago.

I bought a classroom machine from my local fabric shop (Brother NX 400) and recently bought a new Brother QC 1000.

I started quilting about two months ago and love that too. I take classes at the shop when they are available, and read and try to practice on my own.

I'm married and have two teenage boys. The domestic scene keeps me pretty busy, but when I'm not doing that I'm sewing.

I'm very glad to be here.
