Hi! I am new to messaging so you'll have to bear with me. Hopefully I'll figure this out and make some new quilting friends! I've been quilting for 3 years. I just learned paper piecing and I love it. So relaxing! I've been working on a Sylvia's Bridal Sampler. All the talk is about the next big snow tomorrow night. The snow is so beautiful first thing in the morning, with a cup of tea,of course! Bye for now.

Hello from a former PA person who doesn't miss the snow and now lives in TN. I hope you have lots of fabric to quilt through all the snow you have.
Stay safe and warm.
What part of PA do you live?

Thanks for replying! I'm from southeast PA. We have lots of beautiful rolling hills! We rented a bunch of DVDs to watch and I'll make progress on some quilting for sure!

You guys are all making me want to go to the Vanity Fair Outlet shops in Reading, the Kling House at the Kitchen Kettle Village in Lancaster and to The Old Country Store across the street. I love that part of PA, but it's about a six hour drive for me, so I only get to do it 1-2 times per year. My parents love the rolling hills of that part of PA, and I tag along with them sometimes. :D

Red Rose, I'll be glad to sip on a cup of tea with you any time!

MaryAnn 02-08-2010 08:17 PM

Stuck in the house no material left for quilting I'll have a cup of tea with you

Yes, I am right in between Philly and Reading. In fact, my sister lives in Reading. What part of PA did you live in?

Quilter7x 02-08-2010 08:20 PM

Sounds good MaryAnn. We're getting some snow on Wed. I bet my quilting meeting Wed night will be canceled!

Just be careful if you have to go out in the bad weather I missed 2 days work couldn't get out of the house. You are lucky to be able to go to quilting meetings I have to teach myself which sometimes isn't so much fun.

Hi Quilter7X! Don't know if I have this messaging thing right yet, but a cup of tea always sounds good to me!

Quilter7x 02-08-2010 08:35 PM

You've got it right Red Roses! :D

I sent you a private message also. Look on the top right of this page and you'll see that the words "Private Messages" are highlighted in yellow. Click on that and you'll figure out the rest.

Now if I wasn't so tired, I'd be making myself that cup of tea! :D

Note to self: make sure you send the PM to the right person. I sent it to Red Rose at first instead of Red Roses. Guess I really am tired.   Miss Red Rose is going to think I'm some crazy woman and she might be right!

Hello Red Roses,
I was wondering where in PA you are from. I Live In Wrightsville along the Susquehanna River. It is between Lancaster and York. Lancaster is the Red Rose City and York is known as the White Rose. I got into quilting about two years ago. None of my friends or family are interested in anything sewing related. These gals are a great resourse for information and ideas. I love reading all the posts. Welcome aboard.

Oh I am drooling! I love Lancaster. PA We go there several times a year. One of our favorite shops is in Denver PA called Sauders. They are a sister store to Zook's near Kitchen Kettle. The quilt shops in that area are amazing and wonderful prices. We are going to the Lancaster Quilt Show in March. Can't wait! Our favorite place to stay is Bird in Hand.
