What's the story behind KANJI?

I had a book in front of me when I tried to come up with a
username. I tried a few and they were already used. So I took
the name from the book.

No, I'm not Japanese. I'm Scandinavian by both parents.
We have had Japanese students stay with us when our daughter was younger. I'm just interested in many different
cultures.
