Hi Everyone,

I am Lisa and I first became interested in quilting in 2008 when a friend and co-worker was diagnosed with cancer. A couple of ladies I work with got together to make her a "chemo quilt" that she could take with her to her chemotherapy appointments (we are nurses) and they invited me to take part. That was the beginning of the end for me! LOL! I have since just purchased a beautiful Bernina 440 sewing machine, went to my first quilt show (Road to California), and discovered while preparing my taxes that I spent nearly a thousand dollars on fabric in 2009! I think it's safe to say that I am addicted to fabric and quilting, but I have yet to complete my first quilt. I am working on it, though, as I have a friend who is having a baby this Summer and I want to give her my first quilt.

I think I (more likely my husband) would have a heart attack if I figured out exactly how much money I spent on fabric last year. I'm not going there....
