Hello everyone!
I found this site by a forum on craigslists and thought I would come see what its all about. I've just recently decided to give quilting a shot, but after looking at all the pictures I have to admit I'm a bit intimidated..even the ones that say "my first quilt" look awesome! I've done one quilt, it was rag quilt, and it did not turn out like the pictures I've seen...so attempt number two is underway. WISH ME LUCK :)
A little about me-- I'm 22, married, we just moved to Kansas City Missouri and we have a 14 month old daughter and her little brother will be here in about 2 weeks...but we can't decide on a name for him!!
I look forward to learning more about quilting from all of you!! :)

Welcome from Indiana!

We would love to see pics of your daughter and your son when he gets here!! And even though you didn't ask, I always wanted to have a son named Anthony Glen

Welcome! I'm sure the newcomer will find a name before you have to yell at him.

Welcome. I have discovered my quilts look a lot better here than in real life so lets see those pictures. Also, everyone here is so kind it really helps you learn and keep going.

As for a name, I heard you should yell it out the back door 3 times and if you still like it that's it.

Hi and a warm welcome from North Carolina. So glad you joined us. Congrats on the new baby coming soon. This is an awesome group of people I have only been here for two months and I feel I have known everyone for years. You can not find a better group of friends and quilting buddies, they are amazing. So make yourself at home, post pics, learn everything you can and have fun.

Hi KCMO - Welcome from MN! NOne of us did our best work on our first quilts - it takes practice and with 2 little ones, you'll just have to take it slow! Post some pictures for us, of your little one and one-comin' plus your quilts, dogs, cats, hubby, anything - we love pictures!

AND, if you go fabric shopping, you have to do a show 'n tell on what you bought!

Welcome to the board--so glad you found us and hope you will stick with us after the baby comes. We love pics of babies, so be sure to post.

I think your next two quilts need to be for your kids. They will love having a snuggly quilt that mom made, no matter how it turns out-and it will be great practice for you. Let us know if we can help in any way.

Welcome, Justme22. I also live in Kansas City, but on the Kansas side. Let me know if you need any help with your quilts. I'd be more than happy to help you, either via the phone or in person. PM me if you want my number. (PM means Personal Message...just click on my name here and it will take you there.) We love pics, too.

Hello from Memphis TN!

My avatar is a picture of my first quilt. Lots of mistakes that I see each time I use it. I love this board because every one is so encouraging.

Welcome!
