Hi - I am just beginning to quilt. What pattern would you recommend for a beginner? Thanks

If you have never quilted before, I think it is easier to get one of the books - like one of the Eleanor Burns books - so that you can see the steps pictured & you have directions for the whole process. You can use a 50% off coupon at JoAnns to get an easy beginner book like this.

When you have a book with the pattern included, you will know exactly how much material of each color you need to purchase.

Hi and welcome from Alaska. Be careful--quilting is addictive. Easy ones to start with are rail fence, 9 patch, Yellow Brick Rd., just to name a few.

Hi! :) Welcome from Minnesota!

My first quilt was a Rail Fence ... Yellow Brick Road is an easy one too.

No, I machine piece and then do all of my quilting by hand.
