Hi
I have only made 2 very simple quilts. My daughter picked out some very hard to work with material for me to make a quit for her newborn daughter. This material and pattern are out of my league!!!! Is there anyone in the Port Saint Lucie area of Fl that would be willing to help me finally get this done???? Thank You Grammy Carol

I am not in the area- but can try and help you long distance ? What seems to be the problem ? Can you post pics ?

first of all thank you for wanting to help me. the larger squares have borders around them that have stripes....very hard getting them straight. My biggest problem is the back and some of the larger square are a fluffy blanletty, very stretchie material. I'm not sure how to get the back square. It's also very large 60' x58'.

PS I will post photos ASAP

Do you already have the quilt sandwiched ? If not do you have a bigger work area to lay it out on ?

I would go with your daughter and pick out some 100% cotton fabrics and maybe a different pattern, stretchy fabrics aren't the easiest to work with, particularly if you're new at it. Save the stretchy stuff for something else or much later.

welcome!

Don't worry about the back yet - lets get the front together first  The back really gets squared up after the quilting is finished as long as it is straight and has some overhang all the way around before quilting it is workable
