Retired RN 05-08-2011 07:32 AM

Hello, I am 79, and just beginning to learn to quilt. I belong to the Quilters Guild here in Peoria, Illinois. Thus far, my contribution has been piecing quilt tops for the St. Jude very ill children. I bought books on quilting, and plan to practice on pot-holders with insulated batting inside, and pieced or appliqued motifs on top.

I am on all the knitting forums , registering as Carolyn. This forum already has a Carolyn, so here I am Retired RN. or Retired Nurse--I can't remember which, so I will try both.

I am looking forward to learning a lot. Thank you, Carolyn

Welcome! And FYI it shows you as Retired RN. Wonderful thing you are doing with St. Jude"s. Quilters seem to jump right in there when there is a need.
