Hi from New Hampshire! I stumbled upon this site a few weeks ago and have been checking in every day or so. I'd like to become part of the Quilting Board family. However, I'm not sure how to begin. Perhaps I'll share a few hints I learned of early on that have made quilting a little easier for me. Attach a suction cup to the right side of your machine from which you can hang your snips or small scissors...never buried again! Another hint is to tape or glue an inverted pen cap just in front of your handwheel and store your seam ripper or stiletto there...again, not hunting for these tools. These hints have save me time and patience. Got any hints for me?

also thanks for those tips |
Welcome to the board from Southern California!!!
Along the same lines of what you have said, I used a sticky back velcro and put a piece on my machine and a piece on the cap to my thread snips, they are then attached to my machine and I just pull out of cap to use and put back. Because it's velcro I can remove the snips and just leave the velcro on for travel or tune-ups. |
