Hello all, I read daily the newsletters on this forum. I have found many of the discussions to be quite interesting. I have been piecing quilt tops for many years, hand quilting, and now learning how to machine quilt using my antique Singer model 31-15. It does such a beautiful job stitching. I do not own a fancy expensive machine, only the old girls! I have many Vintage as well as antique machines, which all work beautifully for any application I wish to do. Most of my machines are antique Singer's, but lately I have enjoyed using my Vintage Necchi's as well as my Pfaff 130. I work on machines, do repairs etc. as well as teach sewing classes to beginner's, and more advanced seamstresses. I have been sewing since I began at age four on my great grandmother's 1890's Singer treadle. I am self taught, and I Love it! I can remember many times she telling me, "Sissy don't play there, you will mess something up"!, (If she could only see what I am doing now)!!!....LOL...I know she has been watching me for sometime now...HA HA HA... I have made my own clothes, clothes for my own children as well as my grandchildren. It has been wonderful therapy for my mind and body, for many years. I look forward to being a part of you discussion board. Many Thanks to all. Carolyn S.
