Hello, everyone. I have been reading from this message board for a few months now and finally decided to dive in!

I just started quilting at the end of June and I think I went a bit beserk  . I have decided to make a lap quilt (only size I can even imagine working right now) for my (about) 20 students who will be graduating from high school this spring. I am already falling slightly behind an ambitious schedule, but know I can take advantage of school vacations.

I have one finished and another ready to bind. Then, I can start the two I need to finish for October. :D

I find that quilting is a great help to keeping me "balanced", and am really enjoying the creativity that is involved.

Thanks for such a great place to share pix, stories, tips, etc!!

A big welcome from Ireland. I think the best advice I would give you, in light of your mammoth project, is to 'keep it simple' You stand a better chance of completing them all that way. Then you can branch out afterwards.

Wow! Sounds like something I have done in the past ... Big plans, then overwhelming plans... Yes, good advice to keep the project very simple. Welcome from Florida! It's soooooooo easy to go berserk with quilting and all these gorgeous fabrics.
