I am a newby to the board as well. Live in Western Australia though I am an old time blow in from Qld.

Haven't been quilting myself that long really (4yrs) time wise although in reality the past 12 months I've done very little quilting due to the effects of my cancer treatment. Just too debilitating to keep up with it.

Am finding the board to be a wonderful resource and hope you do as well.

Welcome. I subscribe to the Quilt Show with Alex Anderson and Ricky Tims. They have a wonderful classroom series with Patsy Thompson showing how to do free motion quilting. I has really helped me. I am not very good yet but I am not quitting either. :)

Im really sorry to hear about your illness, i do hope you recover quickly and get back to the hobby you most enjoy. Ive found this site to be very interesting and helpful as im new to quilting of only 1 year. Ive made a couple of small quilts for my Grandaughter of 18 months who live back in the UK with my daughter. I love living in SA but would love to have the children here with me (maybe one day). Anyway thank you for your message. Hope to hear from you again soon.
