Is anybody from the Rochester area? My favorit sewing/class store just closed and i'm so sad. They had a great sit and sew afternoon on sundays once a month and miss it alot. Need to get out of the house a little. So now i'm looking for somewhere else to go or get together with. Anyone out there?
Thanks

You could pop over here, but it's a long commute! Welcome from Ireland.

What store closed in your area? I am originally from Rochester and now live in Binghamton. But I am in Rochester fairly often and hit the stores. I am afraid to hear your answer.

Thanks everyone for the welcome. I will wave to you lacelady in August, will be flying over you on my way to Sweden. And to IrishNY it was Sew-on-sewforth "the pink house out on west henrietta road, it consolidated with the store in buffalo. And to Deb Watkins zippers are not that scary once you get to know them.

Thanks again

Hi, I've been reading this quilt board for awhile and decided to join when I read your entry. I am also from Rochester and live just down the street from the store that closed. It's a shame....it was a cute little quiltshop. I was especially disappointed as I just bought a Singer Featherweight, and their parent store in Buffalo specializes in parts for that machine so I was hoping to have a source close to home to buy from. I so like to buy locally.
