Hi Jerrie and welcome to the group! Wow, a dresdan plate, love the pattern but still have a love/hate relationship with curves  Ask away if you have specific questions and I am sure that you will get some answers/advice. Looking forward to seeing/hearing more from you :D

Hi Jerrie,

welcome!! I made a dresden plate as my very first project and enjoyed it very much. The only advice i would give is to make sure your 1/4 inch seams are accurate as i tended to make mine not quite that wide and had to resew over quite a few pieces but that made all the dresden plates work out. It was fun making them and i hope to make another one in the future... once i do all my wanna dos!

Your Dresden Plate is so nice. I notice you stated you wanted to do a wedding ring quilt i was thinking about a wedding ring quilt or dresden plate and decided to the the dresden plate. Have you started your wedding ring yet. that is my passion to do a wedding ring someday.

ceannastahr 11-24-2007 03:48 PM

no I have not done a wedding ring yet My Aunt bought me this beauitful patter for a wedding ring star quilt but it is paper pieced.

I have not mastered doing that yet. the pic of the pattern is here http://www.quiltingboard.com/posts/list/1061.page I hope to someday be able to do this quilt
