Thanks for the welcome Sylvia from Georgia. I am enjoying the quilting board very much. I love your State! Have been there twice. The only bummer is flying into Atlanta and trying to find your way out with a rental car. ha Jeanne from MN.

Welcome from Montana. My Mom grew up in Roseville, MN so we spent a week there every summer when I was growing up. A 5 day retreat in Wisconsin - Wow! I am jealous and want to go too!

Welcome from Arizona!

jeannepassionatequilter 04-26-2010 09:10 AM

Hey Marlys from Montana, I wish you could come along. Our quilting group, "Ladies of the Lake" are one bunch of fabulous women. We always have such a good time and lots of laughs. We are going again October 31 so if you can, join us. I love Montana, have good friends in Bozeman. Jeanne from MN.

Marlys 04-26-2010 10:58 AM

Where do you go for your retreat in Wisconsin? I have relatives all over WI so you never know, I may be able to combine a trip like that. My youngest graduates from H.S. in a month and will be off to college. That means I will have a bit more flexibility in my schedule!

jeannepassionatequilter 04-26-2010 11:57 AM

Hi Marlys, We go to Amery Wisconsin. About an hour from where I live in the Lake Elmo/Stillwater, MN area. It is called Camp Wappogasset (a bible camp, but very nice with a large bright room for sewing). Everyone brings their machines, ironing boards (small ones), projects and lots of other stuff. They don't provide bedding or linens so we bring that too. We do get lunch and dinner but most bring something light for in the morning. It is a blast. You should consider it. Jeanne from MN

Marlys 04-26-2010 01:53 PM

Jeanne:
I will definitely bookmark it. Can you tell me costs and when I would have to let you know if I could come or not? I appreciate it!
Marlys

jeannepassionatequilter 04-26-2010 03:17 PM

Hi Marlys,

I think it was about $150 and you would probably have to decide by the end of August, so think about it. Jeanne from MN

Fritzy 04-26-2010 09:41 PM

Hello from Fargo, N.D & welcome. Can you pm as to where you live? I always like to see if someone is close by to me. Thanks!

jeannepassionatequilter 04-27-2010 05:00 AM

Hi Fritzy from Fargo, I live in Lake Elmo (right next to Stillwater) in MN. It is a beautiful suburb of St Paul. Jeanne

That is pretty reasonable. I should know sometime in August whether I can swing that or not. Thanks for the info!
