Hi,
I am from Maine. I retired 2 years ago. I joined a Guilt Guild 2 years ago and have really enjoyed it. We meet the second and fourth Wednesdays. We are planning several workshops. We all are going to be making lap quilts for the Oncolaging Unit and they are due before Christmas. |
Hello and welcome from central Alabama. What a great project. I have made quilts for people at work to take to chemo treatments. They all say they get cold just lying there during the infusions.

Welcome from Louisiana!

Welcome from New York state. Our prayer shawl group is donating to a cancer center locally, also.

Hope that's really a Quilt Guild; no guilt allowed in quilting. |

Hi Nana, welcome from KY.

Trying to introduce myself but am not finding how to do just that so I'll just try this and see if it works!
I just returned from Maui where I searched for a true hawaiin fabric store. Upon finding one I purchased 18 yards of large hawaiian prints in 9 different patterns. I did not have a plan! Upon thinking about making a quilt with large blocks of colors I'm not sure that will turn out as I'd like it w/o some other cutting/fabric technique going on. I want it to be simple and will probably just yarn tie the layers together. Anyone with suggestions would be really appreciated! Thanks, Janzki :-D |
Hi Elaine! :) Welcome from Minnesota!
|
I am not sure how this works because I got notification that I have a message and it says "Hi Elaine" which is not my name. Am I doing something wrong? Interesting though, I grew up in Mn. and in early September was there for a week to do some sightseeing and visiting with family and friends. My parents live there. Always enjoy the visit and since my last three trips were in brutal winter I was delighted to be there with 60 degree temps and a bit of rain! At any rate, if the welcome was intended for me: Thank you!
