Hello All. Greetings from Baton Rouge. I've been reading many of the posts and am inspired and encouraged by all of you. I started quilting when I retired about 5 years ago and I do enjoy it. As you can see by my user name I am good friends with the seam ripper!

Thanks to everyone for their welcoming words. I'll get to the pictures one day soon. I like everything about quilting - there's even something satisfying about the ripping - as long as it turns out right in the end. Most of the time I can get things to work. I do mostly machine piecing and quilting and some hand piecing and do like the hand quilting. I'm working on a queen size now. Been working on it (use the terms "working" very loosely as it has sat for about a year) a few years. I finally pulled it out and forgot how much I like to do it. One day maybe it will be finished. Right now working on some totes.

Looking forward to seeing your beautiful work. I hope that one day I'm as good as the ones who post. My friend at work got me into quilting. I love it. Then she retired. I will be showing some of my "beginnings" as soon as my son shows me how to post them. Keep up the good work everyone!! :)
