Good Morning :)

I am very new to quilting. I am getting ready to start my first quilt soon and I am very excited. I am participating in a "quilting tree" where everyone mails each other 2 (different) 8 inch fabric squares (unquilted) and then with what you get you then make a quilt. I have just recieved my first two!

I am looking for 3 people who would like to participate in a quilt tree with me, and I will send you the letter and fabric to your address :)

it is called the "Purple Charm Quilt"
if you would like more details email me at [email protected] and I will explain it better.

Hi and welcome from the sunny state of Florida! I'm not interested in the 'Quilting Tree", but I'm sure someone on here will. Maybe you should make a separate post for this swap. Look at the bottom of the page and post there. Just use this post to introduce yourself since you're new!

thats ok :)

I just figured it would make for a very interesting quilt. A friend at my work introduced me to quilting and asked me to participate.

I am still SUPER excited about what it will look like in the end.

Do you have any recomendations for a first pattern, a favorite of yours?? easy of course.. since its my first.

I will do that! that is a fantastic idea! Since this quilt tree is hand mailed - I will have to reword it for the online forum :)

Hello and welcome from SW Iowa. Glad to have you here. I'm not going to do the quilt tree. Maybe someone else will though.
