Hi all you "Pittsburghians"! I currently live in Columbus, Ohio but grew up in Oakdale, SW of Pittsburgh-by the old airport. I am new to this forum, too, and am looking forward to getting to know everyone.

We are truly sisters tied together by threads. Welcome from north of Milwaukee Wisconsin, glad you joined us. My DH is from the Lock Haven area but his father came from Indiana PA and has relatives still living there.

I know exactly where 84 is. I grew up in Canonsburg. I have lived overseas in Hong Kong now for 24 years, but get back each summer to visit my family.

Hi there! I grew up not too far from you in Monongahela. I live on the other end of the state now, though, near Philly. Welcome aboard!

WOW - very small world isn't it? My husband actually works in Canonsburg - we've been here almost 8 years and LOVE it. Great place to raise a family.

Denise - sounds like we've switched places since my husband is from DE and we had our first house in Newark for 5 years before the first transfer came through. We have lots of friends all over the area.

Forgot to mention - I love your tag line about the stash being research!

I don't know exactly where Monessen is but it's not very far away - less than an hour I believe. I've probably run into your daughter at the quilt store in Finleyville on several occasions! :)

I'll ask my daughter if she goes to the quilt store in Finleyville... She is on the high banks of the Monongehela at Monessen. jacie
