Oh shoot, I have been also looking for someone from my area. There is a knitting board like our quilting board. And they also set up separate groups that meet in person. I was hoping I could find a few quilters that wanted to do the same thing. I am surprised how few people there are from my area of Los Angeles County. I think I have seen a few people on from closer to your area.
