Newbie to the forum

Hi everyone! I am new to this forum and though have sewn off and on for over 40 yrs, I am new to quilting.I am in the process of training myself to free motion quilting. I finished piecing a quilt for my Grand Nephew however have not quilted it yet as I want to be sure I am comfortable in my capabilities of free motion....I am learning this on my new Husqvarna Viking Diamond Royale. Anyone you out there familiar with this machine and would be willing to share pointers? It would be so appreciated. I have not sewn in over 10 yrs as we moved and live in a very small cabin and my Husqvarna Viking Designer 1 was in Storage...still trying to find all my pieces that go to it ! lol...
Thanks ahead of time for any pointers.

Howdy & welcome from Texas. You will find the quilters on this board to be very, very helpful & full of knowledge. I don't know anything about your machine but believe me, someone on this board will know.

Welcome from Ontario, Canada. Make up a few practice squares and give it a go. I really like to use Machinger gloves to help move the sandwich. If you have speed control, set it at medium so you can concentrate on moving the sandwich without worrying about speed. Enrage your needle down function so when you pause to reposition your hands, the sandwich doesn't shift. Have fun!

Sorry, I can't help you with your machine. I know nothing about it. But - you have come to the right place for information and guidance. The ladies (and gents) on here know so many things and are so helpful. And welcome from the beautiful mountains of western NC.
