Hello Everyone, I consider myself a new quilter even though I have made dozens of log cabin and potatoe chip quilts I have only recently decided to expand my horizons. I printed the directions from this site and made the card trick and will be decorating my daughters room with them. My question is can someone direct me to instructions on paper piecing. I really like the look. Here is my very first work with triangles.

Hi and welcome from the sunny state of Florida!!
Fantastic job on triangles for the first time!! |
We're not really very close to each other. One of my sons lives in Mercer County in East Windsor.
No fabric stores near me except a Joann's about 20 minutes away. There is Mouse Creek in Howell on Rt. 9 and a bigger quilt shop further south, Quilting Possibilites in Forked River - takes me almost an hour to get there by the Parkway. I buy most of my fabrics on trips to the Lancaster area. I go to the spring quilt show with some friends and we stay over a few days to hang out and shop. Also try to get there during the summer. Prices are great, quilt shop fabrics at about half price. My favorite shops there are Zook's and Sauders. How about Pennington Quilts? Take a look a their website, they are off Rt. 1 somewhere close to Princeton. penningtonquilts.com May |

Welcome from Ireland

A potatoe chip quilt is the same as log cabin in that it is sew strips but rather than "going around" with the blocks you do top and bottom then right and left. Not sure if i am describing it correctly.
