Newbie to post
 
Hello to all. I'm a little nervous about writing to a such talented group. I have been reading the posts everyday. And just wishing I could talk to you all. Couldn't get the system to let me in. Now I am in and soooo excited. I don't have anyone to talk to about my hobby of sewing and quilting. They just brush me off. But you all are wonderful to each other. And I think that is great. I've got so many questions to ask but I'll wait until next time.

Welcome from Southern California! Talk to us! Can't tell you how much I depend on this site for information. And my friends and family that do not quilt can't believe how much I quote off this site. Once my husband said, "you talk about the people on the website like they are your friends." To which I replied, "They are." We may not meet in person, but we support one another just the same.

Welcome from Texas. I've decided the reason most people brush us quilters off is that they don't understand the concept of quilting and the joy and satisfaction we get from creating our works of art.

Hi from Wisconsin! I know what you mean about quilt talk. It's nice to "talk" to others who know what you're talking about. When people ask what I do in my retirement and I mention quilting, you can tell most have no clue or think of quilting as an old-fashioned, old lady thing. So...welcome!
