Hi All,
Just wanted to introduce myself...I just started quilting, having finished my first wall hanging, and I'm working on my second. I've been married 30 years Dec 26 and have one daughter who's 27. I also have one dog, a beagle/jack russell mix who is quite a handful. My other hobby is genealogy, hence my name, genafan. My favorite place in the world is Hawaii, which is shown in my avitar. I hope to get to know you all, and hopefully I won't ask very many REALLY silly questions. |
Hi and welcome from Indiana!!
Do you live in Hawaii??? And there are no stupid questions.... |
I only WISH I lived in Hawaii...I'm about as far away from there as I could be...I'm in Minnesota...Had my first trip to Hawaii this past February, and am hoping to go agian this February, but the economy will have a lot to do with that. I'll probably have to make do with a "tropical island" calendar this year LOL>

Hi!!! I live in Maple Grove and was actually just at the Rogers shop last week - spent WAY too much money there, but boy was it fun! We should make a play date one day and meet "up" there! Welcome to the site, there's lots to read and learn and laugh at here!
I love the Kona side of Hawaii too - i've been there a few times and the topography is just so amazing - I love the picture you have as your avatar. :D |
mamatobugoo, I was actually thinking about going to the Maple Grove Quilters Guild meeting in December. Do you ever go to those? I've never been to one (obviously), but thought it might be fun. I also have to check out some of the other quilt shops in the area...I've really only been to the one here in Rogers.

i've never attended a guild meeting, although i want to really really bad! MG Quilt Guild is a small guild that meets at Grace Fellowship Church on Hwy 169 on Saturday mornings, although I don't know which week! I also want to attend the Plymouth/Women of the West Quilt Guild that meets the 4th Monday night of eachmonth in Edina, which i know is a bit far for you! There are quite a few good quilt shops around - I love the Roger's shop for their mix of fabrics - Blue Bamboo in Plymouth is awesome as well!
