Hi everyone! I stumbled across this site and was overwhelmed by the talent and how encouraging everyone is to one another! I joined and posted my first 2 quilts. I'm definately addicted and I'm working on my 3rd quilt now. I have been married to my best friend for 31 years and we have 2 married children and 6 grandchildren. I grew up sewing, being the only daughter of a professional seamstress. I got my first full sized sewing machine at age 8 and never looked back :) I've always wanted to try quilting, but was a bit intimidated by the idea of machine quilting. It's such an amazing art form. When I realized that I could hand quilt baby quilts it seemed less overwhelming and I love holding the quilt on my lap while I stitch with perle cotton. I found my compromise. I am planning a larger quilt for my queen sized bed, but I'll have that one professionally machine quilted. I know my limitations :) Thank you all for being so welcoming and encouraging on my first 2 "babies".
