Hi, I have just found this board. I am a quiltaholic! I belong to a very small group and make quilts for project linus as well as commision quilts and quilts for family. My husband and I breed New Forest Ponies and he likes to sail. I also love to garden and to walk. I have just finished a jelly roll lap quilt for myself.

Hi and welcome Ashlett - I was born in the New Forest, my Dad was a Lodge Keeper there at the time. You live in a beautiful area.

Do you mean a Forest Keeper?

:lol: in 1947 (!) he was called a Lodge Keeper. They had 6 months after my birth to move (from a tied Lodge) and we went to Chichester. My Dad was born at Birdham. I still have an Uncle at Fishbourne.
